My Minimal Makeup Routine.

I know what you're thinking...
and I know I haven't posted on here in a while and I'm not making any excuses towards my absence, it's just me being an almighty procrastinator. BUT... I am back and I am going to try my hardest to blog once to twice a week as of now. Thank you for your patience, now lets get into this blog post.

Today I am talking through my most recent makeup routine. Recently i've been really focusing on looking after my skin and creating my own strict skincare routine to tackle my problem areas. I've been pretty much walking around with no makeup on for the past 3 weeks and I'm okay with that; but it's always nice when your'e feeling a bit down to put a bit of makeup on, even if your'e lounging around your house. So on those days here is what I've been using.
I'm starting off with my base: Liz Earle moisturiser for dry/ sensitive skin. This is just a light moisturiser that I use in the morning after completing my skincare routine. This particular moisturiser is pretty much made up of natural ingredients so I know I'm not putting anything harsh on my face.

Next I apply my: Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint with SPF 15 in the lightest shade. This is a moisturiser in itself but due to my skin reacting to the cold weather I prefer to use both the moisturiser and the skin tint. I apply this with my fingers and It's gives me that 'no makeup' makeup look. It's a very light coverage skin tint so it feels light on the skin and keeps the skin looking radiant and shows the skins natural glow. I've been substituting my foundation for this and my skin is certainly thanking me for the switch.

The next few things I do Is just an everyday thing which is brushing through my brows, curling my eyelashes and applying whatever lip balm is there (usually a good old Nivea lip balm does the trick). After that I apply my L'oreal 'Superstar false lash mascara' which is an absolute god sent and a pretty good drugstore bargain YAY! This mascara has two ends, a primer which you apply first and wait to dry then the actual mascara which I only apply one coat because the primer gives it the overall volume.

After that I apply the Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess Bronzer in 02 Medium just to the apples of my cheeks and slightly into my temples, then I brush over my nose and forehead with any of the bronzer left on the brush just to make me look a little less dead. This has a slight shimmer so I don't really need to apply a highlighter.

And finally I apply my Mac lipstick in the shade 'Modesty' which is basically a your lip colour but better if that makes any sense at all.... It's basically a nude pink colour. And that's it! Pretty simple look if you want a minimal look or if you're in a hurry.

Here is the final look... brace yourselves you'll have to look at my oh so happy face.

Hope you enjoyed this post and leave me any feedback or if you'd like anymore details on the products used.

Bye Guys!

My Current Skincare Routine.

Hey guys!

So here's my current skincare routine for anyone who is having difficulty choosing what skincare regime to go for, or whether you are just looking to try something new.

After I remove my makeup from the day I like to use my Garnier makeup remover that has been featured in my previous beauty favourites; I then like to use the Clinique spot treatment collection. I suffer from skin redness and minor acne (I also have dry skin for anyone unsure of whether these products can be used on dry skin). I begin with splashing my face with warm water then I use the ant-blemish solution foam cleanser. I find this facial wash doesn't feel like its blocking up my pores because its foam based. I apply in circular motions and gently massage this into my face and neck. I then remove the cleanser with a Liz Earle muslin cloth.

I then move onto my Clarifying Lotion; I apply this all over my face and neck with a cotton pad. This step is to ensure there is no residue of makeup or facial wash left on my face which can enable more breakouts by sinking into your pores. I will admit this slightly burns but I do have very sensitive skin. With this said this lotion certainly gets rid of anything left on my skin.

I move onto the actual treatment and moisturiser after these steps are complete. I use the Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate on the delicate areas of my face, such as around the eye area. This product is oil based which may be slightly terrifying for the oily skin majority out there, but trust me this will sink into your skin and nourish the skin overnight and will reduce rough skin or bags under the eyes.

I finally move onto the all over Clearing Treatment. This is a moisturising treatment that I apply to the entire face and down my neck. This keeps my skin hydrated and calms and blemish or redness that occurs. This doesn't burn at all and is gentle enough for very sensitive skin. I apply this moisturiser day and night to ensure my skin is always well hydrated.

A side note for also treating spot prone skin is to drink plenty of water and use a clay mask twice a week depending on the skin type.

Hope this helped guys.

Current Beauty Favourites!

Oh hey there!

I have a new blog post for you guys today, and its all to do with my current beauty and skincare favourites. I'm constantly purchasing makeup and skincare and trying out different brands that stand out to me of have been suggested by other blogger and vloggers. Here are a few of the items I use on a day to day basis. Enjoy!

So first up is the Garnier Micellar cleansing water. This product it a definite due for the Bioderma water but DAMN its so amazing. It gets every bit of my makeup off including my stubborn eyeliner and mascara! This cost me around £3.99 and it lasts a heck of a long time. You can find this in any drugstore and most supermarkets that sell skincare products.

The next item is the Collections eyebrow kit which has three colours to suit the needs of most eyebrow colours. I find this lacks the strange red/orange tint that some brow products possess. I have medium brown ombre'd hair and use the middle colour which give my eyebrows a bolder but natural look.

Let us just take a moment to appreciate the brilliance of Mac cosmetics when it comes to their extensive range of li products... wow... This is a personal favourite of mine and is perfect for any season because it is a creme sheen lipstick so will keep your lips hydrated throughout the day. This is in the shade 'Dare You' and applies as a deep rose red.

My holy grail item which I will possibly never stop using is the Collections Fast Stroke liquid eyeliner. All I can say is it's extremely affordable, easy enough to use and lasts al day! enough said.

The next two products are foundations which I sometimes use together depending on what coverage I am looking for. One is the No7 medium coverage Stay Perfect foundation in the lightest shade. This gives a healthy dewy finish but gives me the coverage I need and eliminates my red pigmentation. The other is the Illamasqua Skin base foundation in full coverage. This foundation is perfect for nights out or whether you just want to go for a flawless look. Illamaqua certainly caters for the paler skin so this company is perfect for my ghostly complexion.

The final two products I am going to talk about are the Revolution Vivid Baked Bronzer and the Elf Studio Baked highlighter in the colour Moonlight Pearls. These work wonders together is you feel like adding some warmth and radiance to your skin. I typically use the bronzer lightly across my forehead, the hollows of my cheeks and my nose. This gives me a subtle sun kissed look without looking like an orange. The highlighter is definitely buildable but adds a healthy shine to your face to give you a more natural look throughout the day.

Hope this post was beneficial to you guys!

See you soon,

A Little Exploration.

Hello!

I'm back for good now yay!
So I want to kick start my blog back up and what better way to do that than show you a little bit around Wales... Well Cardiff.

I usually stick to the shopper centre of Cardiff but thought I'd explore a little bit. I came across some uber cute arcades and some amazing coffee shops. I also had a little browse in the Cardiff Fashion Quarters; this is where they sell everything vintage. I just love looking at the aesthetics because it's so damn quirky!

Here are a few images from my day...

Not a massive post but hey I haven't done this for a while!

Thank You for staying with me!
