Current Skincare Favourites.
Hey lovelies. Here are my current favourites to use. For reference, I have combination, sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts. I find these products most effective for the position my skin is in.
Enjoy!

My Rose Retreat Experience.
So I recently had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Rose Retreat hidden away in the luscious gardens of Cyfarthfa Park. My overall experience was so relaxing and the ladies made me feel so at ease throughout my experience.
As I walked through the door I was greeted by a lovely lady called Amy who was performing my treatment that day. She welcomed me with a beaming smile and explained to me that I was to change into a robe and meet her back outside the changing room when I was ready.
The changing room was beautiful to say the least. The lights being dimmed continued the relaxing feel of the place. There were toiletries at my disposal if need be, such as wet wipes, hairspray etc. After changing I left the room to be greeted again by Amy with some water (as I was driving) and led me into a room that was again dimmed with soothing music playing as well as a water feature that elevated the relaxing feel. The room has a sauna as well as a selection of chaise lounge chairs that came with head massage pillows on top and were draped over with a soft throw. Honestly I could have fallen asleep in this room.
After spending a few minutes in this room I was then shown to the upstairs area where my 'Vino Pure' facial took place. My treatment was by Amy who made me feel at ease throughout my experience. She began my treatment by showing me to the bed where they had a throw to put over yourself then she began with my 11 step facial which began with removing any makeup left on my face to ensure all the products work into my skin as effectively as possible, She then proceeded through these steps:
. Cleanse
. Exfoliate
. Tone
. Massage
. Mask
. Head Massage
. Vino Pure Toner
. Vino Pure Moisturiser
. Beauty Elixir
I couldn't tell you how long this took because I was certainly nodding off throughout my facial...
All of the products used were from the Caudalie skincare range and felt so luxurious on my skin. Suffering with a lot of texture on my cheeks, forehead and chin I felt instant results. My skin was so soft to the touch and my forehead texture was practically gone. My skin felt so clean and fresh. The facial was exactly what my skin needed and it drank up all of the skincare products.
I was then taken back to the room with the sauna and the chaise lounge chairs where I spent the remainder of my stay. There was no pressure for me to leave I could leave whenever I felt I wanted to and was brought tea, cake and a bowl of crisps (which were 10/10 for an avid crisp eater). I ended my day chatting to the ladies of the Rose Retreat expressing my excitement for the place as I felt it took me away from the hectic world, which was certainly what I needed in the midst of my university work. I would certainly recommend visiting the Rose Retreat if you're in South Wales as it is such a lovely warming experience.
If you would like to book with these lovely ladies please take a look at their facebook or instagram page.

How to be selfish...
Hello lovely people.
So, these winter nights and this miserable weather really does take it's toll mentally and physically. I've become a sloth (kind of always have been though) and I'm not happy about it. It's difficult to stay motivated and positive when you feel like you have been living in artificial light for months. Alas I feel like I'm slowly figuring out ways to feel positive and productive even if it's the little things. Being selfish for a change is not a crime. You can become your own worst enemy sometimes and you feel there's no need to stop and be just by yourself. Trust me being by yourself and caring for yourself from time to time makes the world of difference. I'm going back to university this September to study English which I am so excited about and glad I'm ready to push myself. Knowing I have this goal really helps with preparing.
Reading - I've always read books but I'll admit I've never been a consistent reader; but knowing I'm jumping head first into a degree has given me the push I need to educate myself in small easy ways. Educating yourself is so rewarding and can really help increase memory and focus. I've set myself a goal of reading at least a chapter of a book every night without fail. To my surprise this small change worked! I began getting into the books I was ready and at points I would realise I've ready about five to six chapters and have been completely engrossed without realising. This has also been helping get to sleep a lot easier than usual because I'm not on my phone in the night as much.
Blogging! - I'm really enjoying blogging and youtube lately. It again stimulates my mind because I'm writing and editing and it gives me such an amazing sense of achievement when I notice people are actually visiting my blog and taking the time to read my posts.
Winding Down - Whether this is watching a new movie, drinking copious amounts of tea or just listening to some music. Winding down is so important give yourself time to de-stress and try and forget about the world for at least 5 minutes. It makes a difference!
Diet - I'm the biggest culprit for letting my diet slip at the moment. It is difficult but I find when I eat healthy I feel like I have so much more energy and I feel happier. I'm not saying cut out everything bad because you should definitely be able to treat yourself; but maybe those biscuits you love, eat two of them instead of 5. Or have one sugar in your tea instead of two. Little things mean a lot!
Mindfulness - So I recently discovered this app called 'Headspace' and it's so helpful. It calms you down if you're feeling overwhelmed and anxious and it enables you to create time for yourself, even if you listen to a session for ten minutes. That ten minutes was your undivided attention for yourself.
Emotions - Understand your emotions and appreciate they're there that's what makes you human. You'll get upset over situations and you'll feel the pressure, but that's okay. It's okay to cry whenever you want to, it definitely doesn't show weakness. Don't beat yourself up even when you really want to. Just take a breath and appreciate yourself and how far you've come.
Pamper Yourself - When your'e really down I understand how difficult it is to even shower but sitting in the bath, reading a book and taking time to look after your skin once in a while feels so rewarding. Even if you've done nothing else in the day that hour or so of self care can feel like such a massive achievement that day. Enable yourself to be selfish and treat yourself with the same love you treat others. looking after yourself mentally and physically is so important and don't be ashamed to do so...
I hope this has helped if anyone is feeling a bit uninspired, anxious, stressed or overwhelmed at the moment.
Thank you for reading.

A Few Days in Paris
Hello lovely people!
Hope you've had an amazing week. So this week I travelled to Paris for a few days to do some sightseeing and exploring the beautiful city. We travelled via the Eurostar and would highly recommend using it. It was so simple to catch and if you book early the prices are very cheap. It took us around two hours to get there and our hotel was about 10 minutes walk. We got to our hotel around five and dropped our bags and went for a walk around the area to see what's near. We stumbled across a beautiful opera house and the biggest shopping mall I have ever seen. We were amazed by the fact they had an entire building for women's clothing and a completely separate building for men's. We walked our legs off! It was very cold which was expected in january but it didn't stop us. The metro seemed pretty simple the layout was the same as the London underground but we didn't bother with the metro. We felt we would see more walking, and we did. We Visited the Sacre Coeur up Montmartre. The views were spectacular and the square is full of artists painting.
We walked from here back down which is a lovely walk because the streets are full of little shops and cafe's. We decided to walk to the Arc De Triomphe where we went underground to see the landmark up close. The detail and patterns were breathtaking and I would advise anyone to see it.
The last full day we had we wanted to see the Eiffel Tower and go up the tower to look at the views. The Eiffel tower has strong security but still keep an eye on your belongings. it cost eleven euros each and you can take the stairs but we were too lazy and decided on the lift. They have cafe's on the lower floor and gift shops but we were more fascinated by the fact they had an ice rink on there too!
We walked from the Eiffel Tower down to the Louvre and came across the lock bridge. The Louvre was huge! the grounds went on and on and the architecture was amazing. We didn't go inside because we didn't have a lot of time but just walking around the grounds is enough to be astounded.
Finally let's talk about the food... It was so tasty! It is pretty expensive but it's nice to experience having a meal and trying the pastries. You definitely have to try the macaroons too because they're out of this world!
I hope you enjoyed reading!
Have a lovely day...
